There’s a welly walk at one of our local National Trust properties-one where you really do need your wellies for the mud. It’s a great spot to blow away the cobwebs for an hour or two, especially at this time of year.
There’s lots of activities dotted along the way to keep everyone entertained too.
And the tone of the afternoon was pretty much set. Whatever big sister does, little brother does too.
You lead, I will follow.
And then I’ll get annoyed because I want to lead and you won’t let me.
And then we’re friends again.
Always a sign of a good walk-when your trousers are as coated in mud as your welly boots 🙂
Packwood House is in Solihull. It has a lovely house and garden too. But at this time of year, when the main grounds and house are only open at set times, the welly walk makes a perfect little outing. There has been some significant development at Packwod House too and there is now a lovely tea room/cafe. There are also longer walks around the wider grounds which we have yet to try, but which are on our list.
If you’re looking for a family Christmas gift, why not ask for a Family Membership to the National Trust? It gives you access to so much.
