Popping in the snacks

Apparently we’re a nation of snackers. Many of us resort to snacking at least twice a day. I know I do. I also know that if I get my eating and snacking wrong, my energy levels drop. I get tired, grumpy and often eat less at meal times too.

I don’t know about you but I find it incredibly difficult managing my eating whilst trying to look after my 3 year old whirlwind and attempting to squeeze in the odd bit of work too. I often resort to chocolate, crisps or biscuits, or sometimes I just don’t eat. Not that there’s anything wrong with any of these treats, but I’ve found that if I eat too many I don’t eat so well at meal times and if I don’t eat, I definitely eat less at meal times.

I’m so often thinking cheap cipro online about lunch and tea for the family that I’m the last in the queue when it comes to eating during the day time. I really want to sort this out as I can’t afford to feel so tired all the time and it’s no good for my creativity or productivity either. Plus it just makes you feel like everything’s that little bit harder than it needs to be.

I’ve genuinely been thinking about how to eat more productively during the day. This includes a snack that will give me energy as well as a decent lunch (which I frequently don’t have.) Whilst I was thinking about this an email popped into my inbox that asked if I’d like to try some popchips. They have less than half the fat of fried crisps, no cholesterol and 0 trans fat. Neither do they have fake colour or flavour, any preservatives and no wiping your greasy hands after eating a pack!

They come in original, barbecue, sour cream and chive, salt and pepper and sea salt and vinegar flavours.

I enjoyed all of them, although if I’m really honest I found the original a little too bland for my own tastes. I liked having them to snack on as a mid morning treat or to add to my lunch though. I especially liked the fact that I was eating something tasty and that wasn’t actually too bad for me health wise. They didn’t last long. The only ‘down’ side is that both children like them too so I had to share.

I’ve resolved to eat more regularly throughout the day and include snacking as part of this so my food intake should be more regular and more balanced. I’m going to try to ensure that I eat a proper lunch too as I think this will help a lot. Do you have any tricks or suggestions for healthy eating and snacking that I could try? I’m always grateful for new ideas.
